We welcome into the life of the congregation today Caleb Thomas Alost, son of Wes and Amy Alost. Through this dedication, the family and the congregation join together in pledging to raise Caleb in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, so that when he reaches an appropriate age he may choose for himself to follow Jesus Christ as Savior. Present for the dedication are big brothers Aidan and Nolan, grandparents Alma Alost and Carlous and Carline Pelt, and uncle Alan Pelt. Today is Baptism of Our Lord Sunday, the day on which Christians worldwide remember the baptism of Jesus and his commandment for those who follow him to be baptized. As you leave the Sanctuary this morning, ministers will be stationed at each door with basins of water. You are invited to dip your fingers into the bowl as a way of remembering your own baptism. The minister will say, "Remember your baptism, and be thankful." You may choose to respond, "Amen."
